Changes in festival announced
SHAMOKIN - Festival officials said Glo-Zel's Art Shop and artist Gloria Zielinskie will be selling her work at Booth 20 at the Anthracite Heritage Festival of the Arts Saturday. Her listing was not included in the vendor map printing in Tuesday's tabloid.
Also, a new sponsor has been picked up for the Folks Butterfly Exhibit. That display will be sponsored by KAV Consulting, Paxinos.
Memorial Day Mass planned
BEAR GAP - The 26th annual Memorial Day Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at All Saints Cemetery, Route 54, weather permitting. The Mass will be held at the cemetery adjacent to the office. The public is invited and are asked to bring lawn chairs. The Mass is celebrated honoring the lives of loved ones and fallen veterans.
Workshop for women with cancer set
DANVILLE - Women with cancer are invited to attend a local "Look Good... Feel Better" workshop in June.
The free event will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, and at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 9, at Geisinger Knapper Clinic.
Women will learn how to care for skin and nails, draw eyebrows, create the look of eyelashes and cope with hair loss using wigs, scarves and other head coverings.
