Deck patching today in Danville
RIVERSIDE - Motorists who travel the (Route 54) Danville-Riverside Bridge in Montour and Northumberland counties are advised that deck patching work will take place today starting after 8:30 a.m.
The contractor will maintain one lane of traffic in each direction, and is expected to complete this work by the end of the day.
Concert Friday to benefit Rosie's Villa
ATLAS - A concert is set for 7 p.m. Friday at the former Kluckers and Kream building to benefit Rosie's Villa, a drug/alcohol rehabilitation center in Mount Carmel.
Local band Dying to Live will perform. Admission is $3 and there will be door prizes, food and 50/50 drawings.
This is an all-age show and everyone is welcome.
Players, cheerleaders to wash cars
MOUNT CARMEL - Mount Carmel Rotary Club will sponsor a car wash Saturday for the benefit of the Mount Carmel Area Red Tornadoes football team. Players and cheerleaders will participate at the car wash, to be held at the Silver Bowl from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The location has been changed from Smitty's Garage.
Rotary members will also be present to lend a hand.
The club meets at 6 p.m. every Tuesday at the Pine Burr Inn, Atlas. New members are welcome.
