SHAMOKIN - Rehearsal for the spring Choraliers concert will start with a session at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at First United Methodist Church, Sunbury Street (Route 61), under the direction of Rob Ensinger. Anyone who can read music and follow a director is invited.
Association still accepting donations
ELYSBURG - The Ralpho Township Business Association thanks its volunteers and the community members who donated the time, effort, equipment and money to make the annual Christmas tree pickup a success.
Those who were not able to attach a donation for tree removal can still donate by mailing a check to RTBA, P.O. Box 218, Elysburg 17824. Donations are put toward the $500 annual scholarship grant awarded by the association to a Ralpho Township senior who is continuing his or her education in a business-related field.
Trees are picked up by volunteers as a community service. The practice will be discontinued if donations don't match the effort, the association reports.
