Anniversary committee to meet
SHAMOKIN - The Shamokin 150th Anniversary Committee will meet 7 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall. Any interested area residents are urged to attend. For more information, contact Councilman William Milbrand at City Hall.
Culver to hold senior forum Oct. 11
SUNBURY - Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-108) will host her second annual senior forum at 6 p.m. Thursday in Sunbury at the Office of the Educators, 1312 Market St., which is located across from Domino's Pizza. Parking for the event will be marked.
The Northumberland County Area Agency on Aging, Life Geisinger, Melee Law Firm and Focus Health LLC will all have guest speakers in attendance to talk to seniors and their caregivers about information and services that are available in the 108th District.
Due to space limitations, Culver asked that seniors who are interested in attending this year's forum call her district office in Sunbury at 286-5885 to register. Light refreshments will be served.
Booters, vendors wanted for festival
SHAMOKIN - Spaces are still available for crafters and those wishing to take part in the "car boot sale" at the fall festival from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, near the municipal parking lot next to the Fun Shop, Independence Street. The event is sponsored by the Northumberland County Council for the Arts and Humanities.
