Ambulance to dedicate new building

TREVORTON - The Trevorton Community Ambulance Association will be celebrating EMS Week Sunday through Saturday, May 24, ending the week with an open house at its new headquarters, at 510 W. Market St. and Route 890.

The event will start at noon and run until 7 p.m. Saturday, May 24; the official dedication of the building and housing of the vehicles will be held at 3 p.m.

The Trevorton Community Ambulance Association is the last 100 percent volunteer ambulance service in Northumberland County.

There will be food and drink available, games and entertainment by R.A.T.L. There will also be equipment on display from all local ambulance services, including AREA Services of Shamokin, the Elysburg Fire Company ambulance and the Americus Fire Company Ambulance, Sunbury.

Mass to honor police officers

MOUNT CARMEL - St. Stephen's Church, Fourth and Maple streets, will host a Mass to honor of all Northumberland County police officers at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers and the public are welcome.

Light refreshments will follow.

Football sign-ups to be held Sunday

TREVORTON - Sign-ups for children aged six to 12 who would like to join the Line Mountain Little Eagles youth football team will be held noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the football fields at the Trevorton Foundry.
