Nominations for awards sought
SUNBURY - The Northumberland County Conservation District is accepting applications and nominations for conservation organization of the year, the conservation district patch for Boy Scouts, Don Cotner Sr. Memorial Scholarship, environmental educator of the year and Raymond D. and Mable E. Shaffer Memorial Scholarship (for Line Mountain seniors only).
Award information and applications are available at www.nccdpa.org. Applications must be received by July 1.
Winners will be recognized at the district's annual awards picnic Aug. 1. They will be contacted immediately after being selected in early July.
The conservation district has been honoring individuals and organizations for their dedication to conservation for 59 years.

Chamber to host job fair
PAXINOS - The Brush Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a job fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the Masser's Banquet Hall, located at the intersection of Routes 487 and Route 61.
The fair is free admission. The chamber suggests that job seekers bring copies of their resumes. Visitors to the job fair can meet with area employers, discuss job opportunities and obtain training information.
