Federal casework day changes
ELYSBURG - The day in which a representative of Congressman Lou Barletta's office is available at Rep. Kurt Masser's (R-108) district office in Elysburg will change in October.
Starting on Oct. 22, a member of Barletta's staff will be at Masser's office, located at 467 Industrial Park Road, on the fourth Tuesday of every month, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Masser encourages those who have questions or concerns relating to the federal government, such as Medicare or Social Security, to come and meet with the congressman's staff.
Culver releases fall outreach schedule
SUNBURY - In continuing her efforts to reach out to residents in all parts of the 108th District, Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-108) will host several constituent outreach events in the upcoming weeks.
The 2013 Fall Senior Forum will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Nottingham Village Retirement Center, in the Great Room, located at 60 Neitz Road, Northumberland. The issues being discussed at this fall's forum include Medicare (specifically, information on enrollment periods, Medicare savings programs and extra help with drug costs), financial planning and irrevocable trusts.
The next Veterans Assistance hours with Department of Veterans Assistance representative Randy Nosal will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Sunbury district office. Area veterans who wish to schedule an appointment are asked to RSVP by calling the district office.
Culver will host more satellite office hours from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Upper Augusta Township municipal building, 2087 Snydertown Road.
