I-80 to have work zone restrictions

MIFFLINVILLE - Lane restrictions/closures are scheduled in the I-80 work zone near Mifflinville in Columbia County for next week.

The contractor will restrict Interstate 80 westbound to one lane between mile 241 and exit 242 on Monday, March 11. This traffic pattern change will close the right lane between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. in order to install a new sign structure.

As a reminder, the I-80 westbound Mifflinville on-ramp remains closed. This is due to merging-traffic safety concerns in the narrowed two-lane area. The ramp detour remains in effect.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check interstate traffic conditions before heading out.
