Register for Coal City Cruise
SHAMOKIN - The inaugural Coal City Cruise, a free event, will be held July 26. The cruise leaves the Shamokin Post Office at 11 a.m., winding along Route 125 through Gowen City and into the Mahantongo Valley. The first stop is at Jack's Spot in Pitman. Drive along back roads east to the 901 Pub outside Minersville in Schuylkill County before returning to Shamokin's Sons of Italy Lodge. Hot rods, classic cruisers, speedsters, customized trucks and Jeeps and bikes all sought. Registration starts at 9 a.m. Email email@example.com or visit facebook.com/coalcityinc for more information.
Wolf Creek Falls hike scheduled
SAINT CLAIR - The park naturalist from Tuscarora State Park will host a hike 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to Wolf Creek Falls in Saint Clair. This hike is five miles and rated difficult. Hikers will travel up the mountain to Wolf Creek Falls and beyond to the reservoir. The hike is dog-friendly but all pets must be leashed and get alone well with people and other pets.
Attendees will meet at the north end of the Walmart parking lot off Route 61 in the Coal Creek Commerce Center. Due to limited space registration is required by contacting Robin at 570-467-2506 or registering online at dcnr.state.pa.us under the Tuscarora State Park calendar of events.
