Live coverage of bishop installation

HARRISBURG - Live coverage of both events marking the Installation of Bishop Ronald W. Gainer as the 11th bishop of Harrisburg will be available to the public.

The Mass of Installation, at St. Patrick Cathedral, will be televised live at 2 p.m. Wednesday. WHTM ABC27, Harrisburg, will broadcast and stream it on their website. Captioning will be available on WHTM.

Holy Family Radio, WHYF AM 720, will air a live broadcast as well. On cable and satellite TV, The Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) will also carry the Installation live and air a repeat at midnight. To find a local EWTN channel, visit www.EWTN.com/ChannelFinder.

The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) will stream the ceremony live at https://pcntv.com. PennLive will also provide a live webcast at www.pennlive.com. As additional coverage is announced, it will be listed with other Installation information and worship aids at www.hbgdiocese.org/installation.

Commentary for the Installation will be given by the Rev. John Trigilio, pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Marysville, and Saint Bernadette Mission, Duncannon. He has authored several books, including "Catholicism for Dummies," and has hosted numerous TV series for EWTN.

The Mass of Installation and the Solemn Vespers service, which will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd, Harrisburg, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, will be streamed live on the Diocesan website, www.hbgdiocese.org. The vespers service is open to the public; the Mass is by invitation only.
