Farmers market held each Saturday
MOUNT CARMEL - Residents are reminded that a downtown farmers market is held each Saturday in the borough.
Vendors are on site by 8 a.m.
Registrants sought for memory care
DANVILLE - The Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community is accepting new registrations for its memory care and thought stimulation enrichment program. It is open to the public at no cost.
The class will meet for six weeks starting Aug. 12. The program meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for two hours, with a choice of two sessions, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to 3 p.m.
In addition to enhancing general memory and retention ability, the program is also designed to boost concentration and improve skills such as flexibility in thinking and speed of thought processing.

Veteran mementos sought
MOUNT CARMEL - Family Home Medical Home Health Agency is looking for veterans and active military and/or their families to participate in an upcoming community event that will pay tribute to their service.
The group is looking for military photographs, service-related interview opportunities, letters, postcards, drawings or any other memoirs to use for the event.
