Reward offered

MOUNT CARMEL - A $1,000 reward is being offered by the First United Methodist Church of Mount Carmel's board of trustees for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals who vandalized the Centralia Methodist Cemetery. Any information should be directed to state police at Bloomsburg at 387-4701.

Tailgate party

COAL TOWNSHIP - Penn State Anthracite Chapter will sponsor a tailgate party at 12:30 p.m. until the end of the game today at Brewser's SportsGrille. The $10 admission includes draft beer and buffet. Membership required, but attendees can join at the door.

Obligation Mass

MOUNT CARMEL - Holy Day of Obligation Mass will be held at 9 a.m. today at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Authority closed

KULPMONT - Kulpmont-Marion Heights Joint Municipal Authority office is closed today for New Year's Day.
