Catawissa Avenue project to resume
SUNBURY - Eastern Industries Inc. will begin paving again on State Route 4006 (Catawissa Avenue/Mile Hill Road) in Northumberland County on Wednesday.
The contractor will pave from Reagan Street in Sunbury to the intersection with Epler Road in Upper Augusta Township, a distance of approximately 2.25 miles.
The contractor continues to work on the ADA-compliant curb ramps within the city.
The contractor will be restricting traffic to a single lane in the work zone by the use of flaggers between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The project is expected to be completed by late September.

DANVILLE - Columbia Montour Home Hospice (CMHH) is holding its annual Wings of Hope butterfly release at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at Maria Hall in Danville.
Live monarch butterflies will be released to celebrate life, commemorate a special occasion or in remembrance of those who have died. The ceremony will include music, inspirational messages and a public viewing of the names of those being remembered or honored.
Butterflies cost $10 for one, $18 for two or $25 for three. Participants can release their butterflies themselves or have a volunteer from CMHH release them. Those who attend do not need to purchase butterflies.
To place an order, call CMHH at 784-1723 or 800-349-4702. Orders must be received by Friday ensure the names will appear in the program. Funds raised by the butterfly release benefit CMHH.
