Tickets on sale for Lourdes show

COAL TOWNSHIP - Tickets are on sale for the Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School spring musical, "Godspell," which will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at the Northumberland County Career and Arts Center.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. They are available from any cast member or at the school daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A limited number of tickets will be sold at the door prior to each performance.

View nature through artists' vision

WASHINGTONVILLE - From the subtle crafting of a bird's feathers in wood to the expert brush strokes on canvas, get a unique glimpse into the world of nature as captued by Pennsylvania artists during the Wildlife Art Expo from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at PPL's Montour Environmental Preserve.

The free program will take place in the Environmental Education Center.

Sign-ups for Easter egg hunt

KULPMONT - Sign-ups will be held this week for a children's Easter egg hunt at West End Fire Association, 1254 Maple St.

Sign-ups will be held Monday through Friday. For more information or to register, call 373-9423.

The Easter egg hunt is open to all children, ages 1 to 10. Children must be pre-registered to receive baskets.

Community college meeting planned

SUNBURY - Organizers of the Susquehanna Valley Community College (SVCC) movement will hold a public seminar from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Shikellamy High School auditorium.

The agenda will include a commentary by Karl Girton, SVCC board member and immediate past president of the Pennsylvania State Board of Education. The agenda includes a public presentation and a question-and-answer session.

Vegetable gardening workshop set

SUNBURY - Northumberland County master gardeners are offering a workshop on intensive vegetable gardening. Featured speaker will be master gardener Julia Marano, who will speak about "Growing More Food Than You Ever Thought Possible in Limited Space."

There is no cost. The workshop will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Degenstein Library. Pre-registration is preferred but not mandatory., and can be made by calling the Penn State Cooperative Extension Office at 988-3950 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

The program sponsored by Penn State Cooperative Extension in Northumberland County and Northumberland County master gardeners.
