POTTSVILLE - Raymond S. Moyer III stopped to answer the call of nature in August in West Brunswick Township, and he admitted Wednesday in Schuylkill County Court that three crimes resulted from it.

Moyer, 41, of Auburn, pleaded guilty to disrupting or delaying the operation of a train, driving under suspension and obstructing highways. Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin accepted the defendant's plea and, pursuant to an agreement between prosecutors and Moyer, ordered him to spend 12 months on probation and sentenced him to pay costs, $225 in fines, $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and $4,860 restitution to Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad.

Railroad police charged Moyer with parking his car on Aug. 8 on the railroad track at the Milldale crossing in West Brunswick Township. Assistant District Attorney Jennifer N. Lehman said Moyer got out of his car in order to go to the bathroom.

Lehman said that while Moyer was out of his car, a Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern train hit it.

The train sustained damage, prosecutors said, resulting in Moyer being required to pay restitution to the railroad.
