The annual musical variety show sponsored by the Line Mountain Council for the Arts and Humanities will return for 2014 after a one-year hiatus.

This year's show, titled "Fiddle n Swing," is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 27 in the auditorium of the Line Mountain Middle/High School. One of this year's sponsors is Dale Wolfe Custom Kitchens and Baths, Inc.

The show will be in three acts. The first act, the fiddle segment, will feature local favorites The Morgan Family and Uncle Bean. This bluegrass ensemble is comprised of David and Mary Morgan and their children Maggie, Jessie, Abbie and Hank, as well as old family friend Tim 'Uncle Bean' Albright.

The second act, swing, will have the After Hours band in the spotlight. This big band ensemble has entertained people across Pennsylvania and the East Coast for many years.

Act three is titled, "What If a Concert Were Like a Sporting Event?" and will be a comedic look at meshing a musical production and a sporting event. This act will feature the arts council's own chorus, children's ensemble, and ladies' ensemble.

Planning is underway for this act. The arts council is seeking local singers of all ages to participate, as well as light and sound personnel, stage hands and a few artists to assist with stage props.

To participate, contact Jenny Snyder at 570-758-4010 or jensnyder@tds.net. Deadline to register is Tuesday, April 15 so a sufficient amount of music can be ordered for the first rehearsal, which is scheduled for May 4.
