SHAMOKIN - The following hearings took place Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court Feb. 10 arraignment in Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Michelle A. Miller, 44, of 453 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, waived charges of possession of eight Zantax pills and one Oxycodone tablet, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an adulterated substance.
The charges filed by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II relate to an Oct. 3 incident at Miller's home.
n Michelle Rosetta, 47, of 913 W. Mulberry St., Coal Township, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay a $100 fine plus costs and was placed on supervised probation for one year. An additional charge of public drunkenness was withdrawn.
Rosetta was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II with urinating at Cleaver and Water streets Oct. 5 in view of pedestrians and motorists.
n Robert Galgocy, 59, of 412 Clermont St., Marion Heights, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay a $100 fine plus costs and was placed on supervised probation for one year.
The charge was filed by Coal Township Patrolman Edward Purcell in connection with an Oct. 30 disturbance at Walmart SuperCenter on Route 61.
Police said Galgocy used obscene language and gestures that annoyed people inside the store. When Galgocy was asked to leave, he allegedly threatened to come back with a double-barrel shotgun and shoot them in the head.
n Cierre Yolanda-Renee Inge, 22, of Pittsburgh, was held for court on charges of contraband, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, two counts of criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia involving a July 20 incident at SCI-Coal Township.
Police allege Inge, who failed to appear for her preliminary hearing, delivered marijuana in balloons to inmate Dale Robertson.
The charges were filed by Trooper Todd Leiby of state police at Stonington.
n Maria Ann Hill, 30, of 228 S. Franklin St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty to harassment and was ordered to pay a $100 fine plus costs. An additional charge of simple assault was withdrawn.
Hill was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II with hitting, pushing and scratching her boyfriend, Ryan Kirchman, and throwing him into a wall at Hill's residence Dec. 5.
n Gary A. Cook, 33, of 1013 N. Franklin St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty to the sale or illegal use of certain solvents and was ordered to pay a $300 fine plus costs and was placed on six months supervised probation. An additional count of sale or illegal use of certain solvents and a charge of corruption of minors were withdrawn.
Cook was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II in connection with a Sept. 19 incident on Route 61 in Shamokin near the Coal Township line.
Cook also waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance, driving without a license and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
The charges filed by Siko involve an April 26 incident on Rock Street near Shakespeare Street.
