HERSHEY - Line Mountain's Zain Retherford beat Robert Ritschard of Oley Valley 9-1 and will wrestle unbeaten Nick Roberts of North Star (37-0) tonight in the semi-finals of the PIAA Class AA wrestling championships.

Also, two Shamokin Area wrestlers, although out of contention for gold, also have guaranteed a return from Hershey with medals.

The Indians' Wes Tillett won his second-round consolation match over Tyler Unger of Boiling Springs 7-4 this morning. He and Brandon Pesarchick, who lost in the quarterfinals to Mikey Racciato of Pen Argyl 5-3, but came back to win in the consolations over Derek Goodwin of Hamburg 10-6, are guaranteed of medals and wrestle again today.

Meanwhile, Shamokin Area's Josh Lahr was pinned in 5:32 in the quarters by defending state champ Nick Hodgkins of Wyomissing, then lost 5-3 in over time in a consolation bout to Nikko Stevens of Northern Lehigh and is out of the tournament.

Shamokin Area's Derek Shingara had two one-point losses to fall from action today, too. He lost 3-2 at the buzzer in the quarters to Richard Baker of North Star, then lost to Ian Chiesa of Northwestern 5-4.

Line Mountain's Adam Kritzer lost to Joe Spisak of Boiling Springs 8-0 in the quarters, then lost to Jermey Landowski of Burrell 9-0 in the consolations. His tournament, too, is over.
