Lebanon Valley College awarded diplomas on May 15 to 429 graduates, who received their degrees on the Academic Quad for the first time in years.

The ceremonies had been held on the Athletic Quad the previous several years, but had historically been held on the Academic Quad. An additional 70 December 2009 graduates also were invited to participate in Commencement.

Local students earning degrees were Kimberly Ann Weinreich of Kulpmont, a Bachelor of Science in psychology and Jennifer Hopple of Mount Carmel, a Master of Music Education, summa cum laude. She also was inducted into Phi Alpha Epsilon.

Founded in 1866,Lebanon Valley College has 1,600 full-time undergraduate students and 160 part-time undergraduates. Lebanon Valley College also offers a four-year graduation guarantee that ensures that students will earn an undergraduate degree in four years of full-time study or the college will provide free tuition for additional courses.
