MOUNT CARMEL - The Lions Club of Kulpmont will sponsor an Easter Show called "Jack and the Beanstalk" March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Mount Carmel Area High School Auditorium. The Fanfare Theatre Ensemble, Inc.out of New York will present the performance.

Last year the Lions Club held a magic show, which was very successful, and are hoping that this year's show will be well attended.

Ron Smith, president and Dave Bango, treasurer of the Lions Club, said the proceeds from the show are to be used for various community projects, including sponsoring the annual Halloween parade, purchase eye glasses and also supply durable medical hospital equipment for those in need.

The Lions Club wants to remind the general public that this event is also sponsored to allow children to attend the show free of charge; tickets will be available at the door. Tickets for adults at the door are $6.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. to allow time for the public to get their tickets and seats.

The Lions Club would like to thank the Mount Carmel Area School Board and administration for their support and cooperation to bring this children's event to the community.
