Jack Williams Tire to support children's hospital fundraising Get your balloon in August

SHAMOKIN - Jack Williams Tire Co., with locations in Shamokin, Selinsgrove and Pottsville, is announcing a fundraising effort in August to support the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) hospitals in the area.

The initiative was launched in 2009 by American Car Care Centers (ACCC) to allow members, such as Jack Williams Tire Co., the opportunity to offer tire and service customers donating "balloons" in exchange for contributions. Furthermore, Jack Williams' is offering three value coupons totaling $65 towards future services for donations given to the CMN hospitals at its locations.

Bill Williams, chairman of Jack Williams Tire Co., stated "We are proud to team up with Children's Miracle Network to aid in fundraising for this cause that has touched everyone in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania in one way or another. Children's Miracle Network is a great organization and a charity that we have supported for years."

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in the Jack Williams Tire and Auto Service area include the Janet Weis Children's Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Last year, American Car Care Center dealers nationally raised $150,000 to help CMN hospitals in their communities.

Children's Miracle Network is an international nonprofit organization that raises funds for more than 170 children's hospitals. Contributions help fund medical care, research and education that, according to ACCC, "saves and improves the lives of 17 million children each year."

Jack Williams Tire Co. was established in 1929 by Jack Williams Sr. in Kingston. Now in its third generation of the Williams Family, the company has grown to 26 retail tire and auto service locations serving northeastern and central Pennsylvania.
