Fugitive captured

One of Northumberland County Adult Probation Department's top 10 most wanted was captured in New York City on Dec. 4.

Sergio G. Crespo, of 2055 Cruger Ave., Bronx, was taken into custody by New York Police Department Bronx Narcotics Squad without incident and transported to the 4-9 Precinct in the Bronx.

Crespo was wanted on probation violations and a bench warrant issued out of Northumberland County.

The capture was the result of an investigation involving members of the Northumberland-Montour County Drug Task Force, Northumberland County Adult Probation Department and the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General-Bureau of Narcotics Investigations and Drug Control.

Crespo is being detained in New York City and is expected to be brought back to Northumberland County within the next several weeks.
