LEWISBURG - The SUN Area chapter of the American Red Cross announces several opportunities to participate in celebrating "March is Red Cross Month."
The first of five hoagie sales for the year will occur on Friday, March 15. Orders can be placed by calling the chapter.
The annual Heroes Breakfast will be held at 7:30 a.m. Friday, March 22, at Country Cupboard, Lewisburg. It celebrates everyday people who have gone above and beyond to serve their communities. (Nominations are closed.) The public is invited, but call 524-0400, extension 1602, for a reservation.
Also, most days, at least one restaurant will be participating in Dine-Out for Red Cross.
The Red Cross will be supported as well by a jazz and wine fest at Spyglass Ridge Winery, Sunbury, May 17, and a USO-style dance in conjunction with the air show at the Selinsgrove airport July 19.
