Eagle Court of Honor held for Christian Stump
REBUCK - Christian Stump, a son of Susan Stump, of Dorsife, had his Eagle Court of Honor at Himmel's Church April 26.
Stump started in Boy Scouts in 2009 at the age of 12. He joined Troop 311 with other boys that had gone to Cub Scouts so he had to work harder and faster to keep up with those who already knew the Scout oath, law and Motto. He earned his tenderfoot Feb. 2, 2010, second class Aug. 3, 2010, first class March 8, 2011, star rank Aug. 10, 2011, and life rank Feb. 13, 2012.
At the time of his Eagle Project, Stump was approached by the Trevorton Recreation Committee, which wanted to build a take-apart ice skating rink that could be set up on the site of the former pool in Trevorton. Stump helped with completion of that project and earned his Eagle in September 2013.
Stump is involved in both the Trevorton and Lower Augusta fire companies and the Trevorton Ambulance Company. He attends the God Missionary Church in Sunbury. He loves to hunt and fish, tinker with engines and help people.
Stump is a member of the Line Mountain High School band. He plans to continue firefighting training and learn more about engines and hopes to become an emergency medical technician.
