SHAMOKIN - The following hearings took place Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court Dec. 2 in Northumberland County Court, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Michael A. Olbrish, 32, of 702 Scott St., Kulpmont, pleaded guilty to a summary offense of harassment and was ordered to pay a $100 fine plus costs. An additional charge of simple assault was withdrawn.
Olbrish was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Shane Mowery with smashing items inside 26 S. Third St. on Aug. 13 and shoving his fiancee Glenda Bonetti into a bedroom dresser, causing injuries.
n Kenneth Daubert, 45, of 50 Raspberry Hill, Shamokin, waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol relating to a July 28 incident on Route 61 near Jones Home Center.
The charges were filed by Coal Township Patrolman Terry Ketchem.
n Daniel C. Dietz, 35, of 1741 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, waived to court charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and a stop sign violation involving an Aug. 25 incident at Shamokin and Spurzheim streets.
The charges were filed by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II.
n Dennis E. Miller, 29, of 1306 W. State St., Coal Township, waived to court a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a Sept. 23 incident at Shamokin and Independence streets.
Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II filed the charge.
n Kristen Blass, 30, of 141 S. Owl St., Coal Township, waived to court charges of illegal sale or use of certain solvents and noxious substances and disorderly conduct relating to a Sept. 13 incident in the parking lot at Walmart SuperCenter.
The charges were filed by Coal Township Patrolman David Sage.
