MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court in Northumberland County Court, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Two counts of driving under the influence were held for court against Kevin J. Glover, 39, of 1026 E. Chestnut St., Coal Township.
Glover is accused of drunk driving on June 11. Ralpho Township Police said Glover's vehicle pulled partially off Spruce Street near Route 487 in Elysburg about 5:30 p.m. and that there were two open beer cans inside the car. Glover said his vehicle had run out of gasoline.
His blood alcohol level was 0.241 percent, police said.
n Charges of theft and unauthorized use of automobiles filed against Elizabeth Lorrain Leach, 32, were bound to court.
Matthew Duceman told police Leach packed belongings from their home at 126 Vermont Drive, Den-Mar Gardens, Aug. 7 and left the area with their two young children in his 2007 GMC Acadia. She is believed to have traveled to Wellston, Ohio, to stay with relatives, police said.
n Corrine L. Dietrich, 38, of 9 N. Fifth St., Minersville, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay a $500 fine plus costs. She also was placed on 12 months probation.
She is accused of interfering with an investigation into the actions of a Pottsville man during a traffic stop early July 1. Dietrich was a passenger in the vehicle.
Charges of obstructing administration of law and public drunkenness were withdrawn.
n Miki L. Campbell, 32, of 435 Center St., Tharptown, one count each of driving under the influence, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
She was arrested by Patrolman William Adamski after she was found behind the wheel of a vehicle in the middle of Maple Street near Fourth Street with its horn blowing continually about 4 a.m. July 20. Police said Campbell refused to submit to a chemical test.
n Kimberly Ann Olearnick, 27, of 240 S. Beech St., Mount Carmel, waived possession of a controlled substance, altering or misbranding a controlled substance, theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct.
She's accused of stealing less than $10 in change from vehicles parked in the 400 block of West Butternut Street between 10 p.m. Aug. 20 and midnight Aug. 21. She also was allegedly in possession of Suboxone without a prescription. Charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman Shane Reamer.
In a separate case, a felony count of forgery and misdemeanors of theft and receiving stolen property were withdrawn against Olearnick after the alleged victim refused to testify.
She was accused of stealing, forging and cashing two checks totaling $250 from her parents' bank account.
