MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court April 28 in Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

n BethAnn Kois, 26, of 1014 Centre St., Ashland, waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol relating to a Dec. 16 incident on Route 54/901 near Landscape Services.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Patrick McAndrew.

n Timothy Leroy Ulrich, 25, of 410 Logan Run Road, Danville, waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on the wrong side of the road and careless driving involving a Dec. 17 accident on Bowden Road, approximately one-eighth of a mile east of Logan Run Road in Rush Township.

The charges were filed by Trooper Thomas Leib of state police at Stonington.
