SHAMOKIN - The following hearings took place Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court Oct. 28 in Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

n Justin M. Socko, 29, of 826 Hemlock St., Shamokin, waived to court three criminal complaints filed by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano.

Socko waived to court three counts each of delivery of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver cocaine and criminal use of a communication facility involving incidents on Feb. 19, March 14 and April 9 in Shamokin.

n Jody Bower, 30, of 707 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin, and Joseph Witkowski, 26, of 622 Scott St., Kulpmont, waived to court multiple charges involving three different incidents.

Bower and Witkowski waived to court charges of possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a July 3 incident at 313 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin. The charges were filed by Patrolman Nathan Rhodes.

Both defendants waived to court charges of possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia involving a July 4 incident at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital in Coal Township. Bower also was charged with delivery of heroin in connection with the same incident. The charges were filed by Patrolman Terry Ketchem.

Bower waived to court a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a July 22 incident at a second-floor apartment at 707 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin. The charge was filed by Patrolman Raymond Siko II.

Witkowski waived to court charges of delivery of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, possession of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine and criminal use of a communication facility relating to a June 10 incident in Shamokin. Cpl. Bryan Primerano filed the charges.
