MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court on Monday, Dec. 31, in Northumberland County Court, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

n John S. May, 34, of 225 N. Franklin St., Shamokin, waived charges of possession of a controlled substance, misbranding a controlled substance and unsworn falsification to authorities; second-degree misdemeanors of unsworn falsification to authorities, false reports to law enforcement authorities and recklessly endangering another person; and a third-degree misdemeanor of false reports to law enforcement authorities. Also, he was cited for accidents involving damage to unattended property, failure to give immediate notice of an accident to police and careless driving.

He was charged by Mount Carmel Township Police Patrolman David Stamets Jr. following an accident near Arcos Industries in Mount Carmel Township Oct. 8.

n Daniel T. Schultz, 34, of 2104 Joppa Ave., Zion, Ill., waived charges of driving under the influence, careless driving and impeding the movement of traffic.

Schultz was charged by Mount Carmel Township Police Patrolman David Stamets Jr. following a traffic stop at the intersection of Routes 54 and 61 in Strong at 1:06 a.m. Saturday.

n Charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension were waived to court by Ricardo Medina, 29, of 549 Peace St., Hazleton.

Mount Carmel Township Police Patrolman Daniel Politza filed the charges following a traffic stop at 3:45 a.m. Aug. 25 on Route 61 in Atlas.

n Robyn Crouthamel, 44, of 342 S. Beech St., Mount Carmel, waived charges of driving under the influence.

She was charged by Mount Carmel Borough Police Patrolman Jason Drumheller following a traffic stop at 3:54 a.m. Oct. 3 on West Fourth Street, Mount Carmel.

n Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of a drug or combination of drugs, driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance or combination of drugs, failure to drive in a single lane, failure to have a front-seat passenger fastened in a seatbelt and restrictions on alcoholic beverages were waived to court by Ray Vincenzes, 50, of 824 Pine St., Kulpmont.

Mount Carmel Township Police Patrolman David Stamets Jr. filed the charges following a traffic stop at 5:38 p.m. Aug. 31 on the Sagon highway in Mount Carmel Township.

n David L. Neidig, 44, of 111 E. Arch St., Shamokin, waived two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of failure to drive in a single lane.

He was charged by Ralpho Township Police Patrolman Christopher Grow following a traffic stop on Route 61 in Weigh Scales at 2:05 a.m. Sept. 8.

n Kyle R. Pekera, 31, of 347 Wilburton Road, Mount Carmel, waived two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Mount Carmel Township Police Officer Kelly Campbell filed the charges relating to a Sept. 9 vehicle stop along Mid-Valley Mountain.

n Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without lights were waived to court by Christopher R. Schultz, 24, of 236 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel.

Mount Carmel Borough Police Patrolman Jason Drumheller filed the charges following a stop at 2:15 a.m. Sept. 12 in the first block of North Oak Street.
