MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court June 23 in Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Jessica Ann Snyder, 35, of 222 N. Chestnut St., Mount Carmel, waived charges of misbranding a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia involving a March 19 incident at her residence.
Mount Carmel Police Chief Todd Owens filed the charges.
n Dylan Blum, 21, of Shamokin, waived charges of driving under the influence of Tramadol, careless driving, driving without insurance and failure to drive in a single lane filed by Ralpho Township Sgt. Chris Kreisher in connection with a Jan. 3 one-vehicle accident on Route 61 near Miller's Gas and Oil.
n Paul B. Chicora, 31, of 6 Long Row Road, Gilberton, waived two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, and charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and driving under suspension relating to an April 29, 2013, traffic stop at Sixth and Locust streets.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman William Adamski.
n Michelle Lynn Levengood, 24, of 105 W. Girard St., Apt. E, Atlas, waived charges of theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief filed by Mount Carmel Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush.
Police said Levengood and another individual trashed the apartment they were living in between March 16 and 20. Also, two metal radiators were stolen.
The total loss was $5,940.
Police said Levengood and the other individual sold the radiators to a metal recycler for $107.10.
n James A. Mohl, 56, of 336 Turnpike St., Mount Carmel, waived charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct involving a March 6 disturbance in his yard.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman Matthew Dillman.
Police reported Mohl and Lance Glenney became involved in a physical altercation after Mohl reportedly called police about Glenney's dog defecating in his yard. Police said Mohl is accused of punching Glenney in the head, causing injuries that required treatment at a local hospital. Glenney also complained that Mohl was suffocating him during the scuffle.
Police said Glenney suffered head, neck and back injuries.
n Beth E. Morgan, 41, of 215 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel, waived to court a felony count of retail theft and a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property involving a March 9 incident in which she allegedly stole a personal care item valued at $33.99 from CVS Pharmacy.
n Ronald A. Wills Jr., 25, of 67 Springside St., Locust Gap, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal trespass and was ordered to pay a $300 fine plus costs.
An additional count of criminal trespass and a charge of burglary were withdrawn.
Wills was charged by Mount Carmel Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush with entering the home of Michael Filipczak, 138 E. Warsaw St., Marion Heights, Nov. 1 with two other individuals and intended to harm him, but left when the victim's mother came home.
n Christopher A. Yucha Jr., 26, of 158 Front St., Strong, waived charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs, failure to drive in a single lane and careless driving.
The charges filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Matthew Filarski involve a Feb. 14 incident along Route 61 near East Columbia Avenue in Atlas in which Yucha's vehicle was found stuck in a snow bank after the driver allegedly attempted to avoid striking an animal.
