MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court on Aug. 1 at the Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

n Dustin Robert Peel, 37, of 10 E. Mahanoy St., Mahanoy City, waived to court charges of forgery, identify theft, acquisition of a controlled substance through a forged letter and two counts of tampering with records or identification.

Mount Carmel Borough Patrolman Matthew Dillman filed the charges related to a forged letter Peel presented to a medical office in Mahanoy City on July 1.

Bail was set at $20,000.

n Lori Ann Trocki, 37, of 435 N. Walnut St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of DUI and careless driving relating to an incident at 11:04 a.m. April 6 in the 700 block of Chestnut St., Kulpmont.

The charges were filed by Chief Richard Wilson III.

n Barry Thorpe, 36, of 106 N. Maple St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of corruption of minors and possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident at his residence on April 21.

Mount Carmel Borough Police officer Matthew Dillman reported in court documents that Thorpe allegedly gave marijuana to a 13-year-old female. Police then received a variety of items used for smoking marijuana from Thorpe's wife.

Bail was set at $10,000.

n Candace Diamond Vollmer, 32, with a last known address of 342 S. Beech St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct relating to an incident on the 300 block of South Beech Street at 1:53 a.m. Saturday.

Mount Carmel Borough Police Officer Kevin Katch reported that Vollmer allegedly kicked the windshield of a vehicle, cracking it, and also cracked the audio system/back-up camera screen inside a vehicle being used by John Strunk.

Bail was set at $10,000.

n Rondasia Lenese Gibbons, 24, of 244 S. Oak St., second floor, Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of corruption of minors and selling alcohol to minors June 25.

Patrolman Matthew Dillman reported that Gibbons allegedly supplied wine coolers to a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl from Silver Spur, Mount Carmel.

Bail was set at $5,000.

n Jerome Digiovanni, 42, of 225 W. Fifth St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of stalking, simple assault and harassment following an incident at a South Poplar Street home at 5:18 a.m. June 26.

Mount Carmel Patrolman Justin Stelma reported that Digiovanni verbally abused his wife and kept her inside the home against her will when she tried to leave. When she was able to leave, Digiovanni followed her to another residence and began banging on the windows and doors.

Bail was set at $10,000.

n Steven James Randall, 21, of 642 Chestnut St., Apt. 1, Kulpmont, waived to court charges of felonies of aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, misdemeanors of altering or forging documents or plates, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, unsworn falsification to police, accidents involving death or personal injury while driving without a valid license, and summaries of driving under suspension, reckless driving, failure to give immediate notice of an accident to police and driving without proper inspection.

Patrolman Matthew Filarski reported that Randall and his live-in girlfriend Cynthia Ann Sidden, 19, allegedly assaulted a Sagon man on April 1 with a car near Marion Heights Cemetery.

Bail, which was set at $20,000, was posted.
