DANVILLE - The search for a man who robbed the First National Bank (FNB) in Danville Tuesday morning continues. No new information was released Wednesday, but police are urging anyone who may have seen anything out of the ordinary to call Danville police Sgt. William W. Wilt III at 275-2101.
The armed robbery occurred at the Danville branch of FNB at Mill Street and Route 11 at 11:17 a.m.
According to police, the suspect is a male, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a parka-style, hooded jacket and blue jeans.
The man presented a handgun during the incident, but police said the caliber is currently unknown. The suspect then fled the bank on foot, taking an undetermined amount of currency.
