Crews searching for missing fisherman on Pa. lake
LAKE ARIEL, Pa. (AP) — A search is set to continue for a fisherman believed to be missing on a lake in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Fire officials in Paupack Township say the man is believed to have been lost on Lake Wallenpaupak, where an empty boat was spotted by fishermen Saturday afternoon. State police have identified the missing man as 33-year-old Jefferson Township resident Jeffrey Carl Kochis, who was fishing on the lake at the time.
A dive and rescue team searched the water for 13 hours Sunday, but turned up nothing. Officials say it's a difficult search because no one witnessed anything.
The search is expected to continue Monday.
