n MOUNT CARMEL - Charges of simple assault and harassment were dismissed Wednesday against Michael A. Wieczoreck, 43, of 129 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, because the alleged victims refused to testify during a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman Kevin Katch relating to an altercation that occurred at Wieczoreck's home on Oct. 7. Police said Wieczoreck assaulted a mother and daughter, Judy and Michelle Mcginley, who resided at the same address.

n MOUNT CARMEL - Daniel Kramer, 23, of 300 W. Third St., Apt. 7, Mount Carmel, pleaded guilty to loitering or prowling at night, during a preliminary hearing Wednesday in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones and was ordered to pay fines and court costs in the amount of $150 and he was placed on supervised probation for 12 months.

Charges of criminal trespass, another count of loitering or prowling at night and harassment were withdrawn.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman William Adamski relating to a disturbance on June 15 at 234 E. Sixth St.

n MOUNT CARMEL - Justin K. Shedaker, 23, of 647 E. Fourth St., Mount Carmel, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct during a preliminary hearing Wednesday in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones and was ordered to pay fine and court cost totalling $288.50. Charges of simple assault and harassment were withdrawn.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Borough Patrolman Kevin Katch in connection with a disturbance on Aug. 10 in the first block of North Walnut Street in the borough.

n MOUNT CARMEL - Leonard A. Schlagle, 20, of 316 N. Franklin St., Shamokin, waived to court Wednesday two counts of driving under the influence during a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones. He was ordered to appear for arraignment on Dec. 1 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

The charges were filed by Kulpmont Borough Patrolman Shane D. Reamer relating to an Aug. 1 disturbance at the Jan Sobieski Club, Tenth and Scott streets, Kulpmont.

n MOUNT CARMEL - Jennifer Pfirman, 45, of 283 Penn Avenue, Elysburg, waived to court Wednesday a charge of misdemeanor prohibited acts relating to prescription pills in her possession during a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones. She was ordered to appear for arraignment on Dec. 1 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

The charges were filed by Ralpho Township Patrolman Chris Dailey relating to a April 3 incident.

n MOUNT CARMEL - Victoria Sherman, 20, of 846 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, waived to court Wednesday charges of possessing a controlled substance and underage drinking during a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones. She was ordered to appear for arraignment on Dec. 1 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Stamets relating to an incident that occurred at 66 Third St., Strong, on July 25.

n MOUNT CARMEL - John R. Rubendall, 68, of 1731 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, waived to court Wednesday two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol during a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones. He was ordered to appear for arraignment on Dec. 1 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

The charges were filed by Kulpmont Patrolman Shane D. Reamer relating to a traffic accident that occurred July 19 along Route 61 near the 800 block of Chestnut Street in Kulpmont.

n MOUNT CARMEL - Adam D. Reed, 27, of 346 Main St., Ranshaw, waived to court Wednesday two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol during a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones. He was ordered to appear for arraignment on Dec. 1 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Kelly Campbell relating to a traffic stop Aug. 8 in Locust Gap.
