One-vehicle crash

SNYDERTOWN - A Danville man suffered a minor injury in a one-vehicle crash on Route 4012, near Smith Road in Snydertown, at 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

State police at Stonington reported Sunday that a 1998 Ford Explorer, driven by Frank Bellace, 49, of Danville, was traveling east on Route 4012 and attempted to negotiate a left-hand curve when he lost control of his SUV on the snow-covered road. The vehicle slid down the embankment on the south side of the road and struck a tree with its left side. After the impact, the Explorer spun 180 degrees around the tree, coming to rest facing north.

Bellace suffered a minor injury. Police say he will be cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed, failure to give immediate notice of an accident to police, and failure to use restraint systems.
