Theft of services
PAXINOS - State police at Stonington reported a contractor hired by Douglas Martz, 52, of Paxinos, to install windows failed to provide the services after being partially paid Sept. 15.
THARPTOWN - Mike Moore, 45, of Paxinos, reported someone broke into a property he owns at 1100 Tharp St. and stole a top drawer from a chest of drawers unit between Sunday and Tuesday.
Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to call Coal Township police at 570-644-0333.
COAL TOWNSHIP - Code Enforcement Officer Chris Petrovich cited Thomas E. Broscius, of 1516 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, again for having faulty weather protection on his home that has several holes in its roof and rotted roof covering that allows water to enter the building.
SHAMOKIN - Dawel Lantigua, 21, of 17 S. Rock St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman William Miner with possessing a small amount of marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia involving a Feb. 25 incident at his home.
Police said Lantigua possessed marijuana, a smoking pipe and rolling papers.
SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Raymond Siko II has charged Robert Thomas Ferrick, 26, of 25 N. Second St., first floor, Shamokin, with possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a March 19 incident at his residence.
Police reported Ferrick possessed a chrome spoon used to prepare a controlled substance, multiple little bags used for packing a controlled substance and a smoking pipe.
MOUNT CARMEL - James A. Mohl, 55, of 336 Turnpike St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Dillman with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct involving a March 6 disturbance in his yard.
Police reported Mohl and Lance Glenney became involved in a physical altercation after Mohl reportedly called police about Glenney's dog defecating in his yard. Police said Mohl is accused of punching Glenney in the head, causing injuries that required treatment at a local hospital. Glenney also complained that Mohl was suffocating him during the scuffle.
Police said Glenney suffered head, neck and back injuries.
MOUNT CARMEL - Christa M. Anzalone, 35, of 131 W. Third St., Apt. 1, Mount Carmel, faces charges involving two incidents at her home last month.
She was charged by Chief of Police Todd Owens with two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia involving a March 15 incident.
She also was charged by Cpl. David Donkochik with endangering the welfare of children for not taking proper care of her 3-year-old child. Police said Anzalone failed to properly feed the child while she was drunk.
ATLAS - Christopher A. Yucha Jr., 26, of 158 Front St., Strong, was charged by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Matthew Filarski with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs, failure to drive in a single lane and careless driving.
The charges involve a Feb. 14 incident along Route 61 near East Columbia Avenue in Atlas in which Yucha's vehicle was found stuck in a snow bank after the driver allegedly attempted to avoid striking an animal.
Police reported Oxycodone was found in Yucha's blood.
RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Charges of driving under the influence of Tramadol, careless driving, driving without insurance and failure to drive in a single lane were filed by Sgt. Chris Kreisher against Dylan Blum, 21, of Harrisburg.
The charges relate to a Jan. 3 one-vehicle accident on Route 61 near Miller's Gas and Oil.
RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Sgt. Chris Kreisher has charged Deborah Rundle, 56, of 1760 Monroe Ave., Bloomsburg, with driving under the influence of a combination of drugs, failure to drive in a single lane, careless driving and misbranding a controlled substance.
The charges were filed in connection with a two-vehicle accident Jan. 9 on Route 487 near East Center Street in Elysburg.
Police said Rundle had three types of controlled substances in her blood.
