SHAMOKIN - Charges of theft and receiving stolen property were filed by Patrolman William Zalinski against John J. Seedor, 35, of 414 N. Rock St., Apt. C, Shamokin, involving incidents that occurred between Sept. 15 and Sept. 20.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, Seedor is accused of depositing eight checks totaling $4,975 from two closed personal accounts from Susquehanna Bank and Woodforest National Bank through an automatic teller machine into his personal M&T Bank account. Police said Seedor withdrew a total of $2,393 on nine different occasions from the M&T Bank account.
SHAMOKIN - Matthew Weikel, 36, of 51 S. Rock St., Shamokin, was charged by Cpl. Bryan Primerano with possession of drug paraphernalia involving an Oct. 9 incident at his residence.
Police said Weikel possessed a used heroin wrapper and syringe.
SHAMOKIN - Calvin Derck III, 38, of 44 S. Sixth St., third floor, Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Shane Mowery with criminal trespass.
Police reported Derck broke into a home June 27 through a locked basement door at 508 Bear Valley Ave. owned by his uncle Keith Derck. Police said the defendant was caught on camera inside the property.
SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Darwin Tobias III has charged Craig C. Becker Jr., 27, of 23 N. Grant St., Shamokin, with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and criminal trespass relating to a disturbance at 1:41 a.m. Sunday at 146 S. Pearl St.
COAL TOWNSHIP - Daniel C. Carl, 23, of 131 Iron St., Coal Township, was charged by Patrolman Chris Lapotsky with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing two rear axles, an exhaust system, a set of springs and four lug spindles and rotors valued at approximately $1,250 from the rear of David Lehman's home at 130 Iron St.
Police said the theft occurred between July 6 and July 14. Carl is accused of selling the stolen items to SOS Metals.
SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Jarrod Scandle has charged Christopher M. Clark, 26, of 220 N. Vine St., Shamokin, with burglary and simple assault involving an Oct. 1 early-morning disturbance at 711 E. Dewart St.
According to a criminal complaint, Clark allegedly entered the residence of Michelle Wolfe and assaulted Robert Buettner while he was sleeping on a couch in the living room. Buettner suffered moderate injuries that required emergency room treatment at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, police said.
SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Raymond Siko II has charged Michelle A. Miller, 44, of 453 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, with possession of eight Zantax pills and one Oxycodone tablet, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an adulterated substance.
Police said the charges relate to an Oct. 3 incident at Miller's home.
SHAMOKIN - Paul J. Delbo Jr., 40, of 43 N. Marshall St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with theft by deception and receiving stolen property.
Police said Delbo is accused of failing to complete repairs to the home of Roger Facer, of 229 W. Willow St., Shamokin, after receiving $700 from Facer to do the work April 22. Police said Delbo never returned the money despite multiple attempts by Facer to retrieve it.
SHAMOKIN - Charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct were filed by Patrolman Raymond Siko II against Michelle Rosetta, 47, of 913 W. Mulberry St., Coal Township, in connection with an Oct. 5 disturbance at Cleaver and Water streets.
Police reported Rosetta stood in the middle of the street in full view of pedestrians and motorists, pulled her pants down around her ankles, squatted and urinated at about 11:30 a.m.
