Two-vehicle accident

SHAMOKIN DAM - A Trevorton woman and a Shamokin women both escaped injury when their vehicles collided at 10:09 p.m. Saturday on Route 11/15 at its intersection with East Eigth Avenue, accroding to state police at Selinsgrove.

Trooper David Sawicki said Rachel E. Foote, 26, of Trevorton, was traveling in a 2001 Toyota Corolla west on Eight Avenue and proceeded through a red light.

She failed to see the 1996 Toyota Camry being driven by Lynnann Dillman, 25, of Shamokin, who was traveling north on Route 11/15 in the right hand lane, police said.

Foote pulled into Dillman's path, and Dillman's car struck Foote's car in the left front area of the vehicle, police said.

After the initial impact, the Corollo spun clockwise and came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway facing south, and the Camry came to rest in the center of the highway facing north, police said.

Foote was charged with a traffic control signals violation, police said.
