ASHLAND - Police suspect a borough man was under the influence of bath salts when he entered a home Sept. 21 and stripped naked inside the bathroom.
James Andrew Johnson, 44, of 1331 Walnut St., was taken into custody without incident, borough Patrolman Mark O'Hearn reported Thursday.
Johnson is accused of entering 1334 Spruce St. at 1:36 p.m. and going into the bathroom. Two females and a young child were home at the time. It was initially thought Johnson was a friend of the homeowner.
After nearly an hour passed, one female knocked on the bathroom door and asked if Johnson was OK. She said he made a bizarre statement and she observed that he was nude.
Johnson was released Tuesday from Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, after posting $2,500 bail. He is charged with felony counts of burglary and criminal trespass.
COAL TOWNSHIP - Jenna D. Ocacio-Rodriguez, 28, of Hazleton, has been charged by Detective Jeff Brennan with theft and receiving stolen property involving an Aug. 23 incident at 1788 Tioga St.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic, Ocacio-Rodriguez is accused of stealing an iPhone valued at $150 from Kathy Sabotchick and cashing a personal check for $120 taken from Charles Sabotchick.
