DUI

ROCKEFELLER TOWNSHIP - Edward M. Bachorik, 44, of Penn Avenue, Elysburg, has been charged by Cpl. Curtis Cooke of state police at Stonington with driving under the influence of alcohol and several summary traffic violations relating to a traffic stop at 10:35 p.m. Saturday along Route 890.

Police said Bachorik refused to submit to a blood test.

Possesses pot

UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - Gerald D. Krepps, 36, of Main Street, Snydertown, has been charged by Cpl. Curtis Cooke of state police at Stonington with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a vehicle stop at 8:35 p.m. Friday along Route 4012 near Cold Run Hollow Road.

Underage drinking

SHAMOKIN - A 16-year-old Shamokin male has been cited by Patrolman Raymond Siko II for underage drinking, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct involving a disturbance at 6 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of North Shamokin Street.

Harassment

SHAMOKIN - Amanda Bentley, 31, of 306 N. Vine St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Nathan Rhodes with harassment for allegedly throwing hot wax from a candle onto Aaron Shaffer, causing burns to his arms.

Police said the incident occurred at 2:40 a.m. Saturday at Bentley's residence.

Two-car accident

COAL TOWNSHIP - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in front of the Anthra Plaza at the junction of Routes 2026 and 901.

Coal Township Patrolman Jason Adams, who investigated the 4:11 p.m. accident, reported Raymond Stelma, of Mount Carmel, was driving a red 1998 Jeep Cherokee east from Coal Run toward Route 901 when a white Cutlass Ciera operated by Carol Kulonda, of Shamokin, pulled out from a stop sign at the Route 61 off ramp to head toward the entrance to the Anthra Plaza, resulting in a collision.

Both cars were towed from the scene.

An investigation is continuing.

Lewisburg fire

LEWISBURG - A fire early Tuesday morning caused more than $200,000 damage to a garage/storage barn at 715 Market St. and surrounding buildings and vehicles.

Trooper Norman Fedder, a state police fire marshal at the Milton station, said he could not determine the cause and origin of the 1:15 a.m. fire due to the extreme damage. No injuries were reported.

Fedder said the structure was "energized" at the time of the fire and wasn't completely secured.

He said the owners of the properties damaged in the fire have insurance.

Eighth St., Lewisburg (building); Andrew Meisner, 21 S. Seventh St., Lewisburg (vehicle); Brandon Kline, 21 S. Seventh St., Apt. 5, Lewisburg (vehicle); Joshua and Andrew Hetrick, 21 S. Seventh St., Apt. 1, Lewisburg (vehicle); Roar and Susan Gangdal, 21 S. Seventh St., Apt. 3, Lewisburg (vehicle), and Dana Cohick, 21 S. Seventh St., Apt. 4, Lewisburg (vehicles).

Harassment/stalking

COAL TOWNSHIP - Peter Rebuck, 37, of 170 E. Dewart St., Apt. 206, Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Edward Purcell with harassment/stalking relating to an Aug. 20 incident at Wal-Mart Supercenter.

According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, Rebuck is accused of harassing and stalking Traci Troutman and her daughter, Kelsi.
