Three charged

WEST MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - Three individuals were placed in Schuylkill County Prison after their involvement in a burglary at a West Mahanoy Township garage at approximately 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

State police at Frackville reported Sean K. Anderson, 32, of Quakake, Angela L. Shelitsky, 32, of Frackville, and Thomas H. Yoder, 49, of Ashland, were seen by neighbors entering the second floor of a garage owned by Anthony Pasker, of Quakertown, and removed five billiard pool cues, a set of pool balls and other gaming equipment.

Police took the three individuals into custody without incident and arraigned them before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko, of Port Carbon, and placed in Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 bail. Additionally during the investigation, Anderson consented to a search of his vehicle, where illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were found. During the arraignment, Anderson received an additional $5,000 bail on the drug charges.

The investigation continues and all three will face a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Bernadette J. Nahas, of Frackville.

Burglary

RUSH TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington report that sometime between noon Aug. 20 and 5 p.m. Saturday someone cut a padlock from an abandoned residence on Logan Run Road, a half-mile north of Rushtown Road, gained entry into a detached summer kitchen, and gained entry into the primary residence through two wooden unlocked doors in the rear of the residence.

While there, the burglars removed two 10-feet long down spouts from the rear of the residence and fled the scene. The home is owned by a 38-year-old male from Howell, N.J.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact state police at 286-5601.
