DUI

SUNBURY - Ralph S. Aucker Jr., 56, of 126 W. Broad St., Elizabethville, has been charged by Patrolman Mark Adams with driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic violations relating to a Sept. 8 incident at the intersection of Route 147 and South Second Street.

Car keys found

COAL TOWNSHIP - Police here reported someone found a set of Lexus car keys near Owl and Pine streets on Friday and turned them into Coal Township Police Station, where they can be claimed by calling 644-0333.

Public drunkenness

MOUNT CARMEL - Shane R. Parker, 27, of Shamokin Street, Ashland, was cited for public drunkenness by Mount Carmel Borough Police officer Dave Donkochik following an incident at Oak and Water streets at 4:05 a.m. Sept. 21.

Police said Parker was involved in a disturbance earlier at an Oak Street location and fled the area prior to police arrival. At 4:05 a.m., he was observed crawling out of the Water Street creek bed intoxicated, where he was taken into custody. Assisting Donkochik were city police patrolman Justin Stelma and Mount Carmel Township Police Officer Dave Stamets.

Paint thrown on truck

COAL TOWNSHIP - Robert Santore, 47, of Third Street, Ranshaw, told police someone threw black paint on his 1993 Ford F-150 truck at 3:45 a.m. Sunday.

Harassment

MOUNT CARMEL - Kenneth S. Ross, 46, of 733 Pine St., Kulpmont, was cited for harassment by Mount Carmel Borough officer Jason Drumheller following an incident in the 200 block of South Poplar Street, Mount Carmel, at 11 a.m. Sept. 18.

Police said Ross appeared outside the victim's residence, confronted him and threatened him about a previous incident. A citation was filed with Senior Magisterial District Judge Michael Mychak of Mount Carmel.

Skateboarder injured

COAL TOWNSHIP - Michael Zielinskie, 18, of 1241 Elm Road, Shamokin, who grabbed onto a vehicle while riding a skateboard Friday afternoon on Indian Avenue, was injured when he fell off the skateboard and hit the road.

Zielinskie was transported by AREA Services Ambulance to Shamokin Area Community Hospital, where he underwent emergency room treatment for minor injuries before being released.

Patrolman Chris Lapotsky, who investigated the 2:45 p.m. accident, reported Kristin Kozar, 17, of 1525 W. Arch St., Coal Township, was driving a pickup truck down Indian Avenue when Zielinskie grabbed onto the vehicle while it was moving before falling off the skateboard and striking the road.

Police said Zielinskie and Kozar will be cited for disorderly conduct.

Urinates on street

SHAMOKIN - Walter E. Hyde, 67, of 514 Bear Valley Ave., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Raymond Siko II for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he allegedly urinated at Ninth and Commerce streets just after 1 a.m. Sunday.

Public drunkenness

MOUNT CARMEL - Charles D. Ankney, 38, of 135 S. Pear St., Mount Carmel, was cited for public drunkenness following an incident at Fourth and Pear streets on Aug. 24, when he was found lying in the roadway with his bicycle.

Mount Carmel Borough Police Sgt. Todd Owens reported that Ankney had to be treated for a minor head injury after falling off the bike. He had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech, police said.

Disorderly conduct

SHAMOKIN - Edward K. Moore III, 24, of 714 N. Cherry St., Shamokin, was cited by Cpl. Edward Griffiths for disorderly conduct for allegedly spitting on a truck owned by Joseph James, of 826 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin, in front of James' residence at 4 p.m. Sept. 9.

Police pursuit

SHAMOKIN - Kurt A. Miller, 30, of 1976 Upper Road, Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Raymond Siko II for disorderly conduct involving a police pursuit that began around 2 a.m. Sunday at Eighth and Spruce streets and culminated at Spruce and Market streets.

Police reported Miller's vehicle almost struck a police cruiser during the incident.

DUI charges

SHAMOKIN - Dennis C. Paczkowski, 20, of 40 High View Drive, Coal Township, has been charged by Cpl. Edward Griffiths with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia relating to an Aug. 17 incident at Market and Mulberry streets.

Police reported alprazolam, heroin and marijuana were found in Paczkowski's blood system.
