Criminal mischief
UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington report that between 11 p.m. Monday and 5:55 a.m. Tuesday someone damaged a Coca-Cola vending machine at the Valero gas station parking lot on North Fourth Street, Upper Augusta Township, in an attempt to take the money out of it. It is not known if any money or products were taken.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 286-5601.
One hurt in crash
UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - A Sunbury woman was taken to the hospital for minor head injuries following a bicycle accident on Shikellamy Avenue in Upper Augusta Township at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.
State police at Stonington report a pedal cycle, ridden by Vickie DePhillips, 53, of 107 Sheffield Ave, Sunbury, was traveling east on the west shoulder of Shikellamy Avenue when a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, driven by Crystal Barry, 44, of 726 Chestnut St., Sunbury, attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot. The car and bike collided, causing DePhillips and her cycle to fall to the ground.
DePhillips was transported to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for a minor head injury and scrapes and bruises. Police said she was not wearing a safety helmet and was traveling on the wrong side of the road.
