COAL TOWNSHIP - Coal Township police charged Thomas Reddinger, 26, of Shamokin, with a felony count of theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly took an ATV from a township residence Sunday.
Kane Knopp, of Coal Township, reported to police that his Honda TRX 450R ATV was stolen from the rear of his residence in the Ferndale section of Coal Township on Sunday. Police allegedly later found Reddinger in possession of the ATV.
Coal Township police were assisted in the investigation by Shamokin city police.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Jessica Lee Goudy, 26, of 102 Birch St., Shamokin, was cited with disorderly conduct by Shamokin city Patrolman Raymond J. Siko II after an incident at her residence at 2:06 a.m. Monday.
Police reported Goudy was raising her voice in the street outside of her residence, annoying neighbors.
Two-vehicle crash
COAL TOWNSHIP - No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on Route 61 just south of the Wayside Inn.
Coal Township police reported Elsie Lytle, 83, of Shamokin, was driving a 1999 Ford sedan on Route 61, when she attempted to switch from the regular lane of travel into the passing lane. While doing so, Lytle drove into the side of a 1998 Oldsmobile sedan operated by Susan Shankweiler, 49, of Elysburg, police reported.
Lytle and Shankweiler - and a passenger in Lytle's vehicle and two passengers in Shankweiler's vehicle - escaped injury.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
Dog owners cited
SHAMOKIN - Noel Torres, 27, and Hilcias Lantiequa, 32, both of 17 S. Rock St., Shamokin, were cited by Shamokin city police with violating a city ordinance for reportedly allowing their dog to run at large in their neighborhood.
Patrolman Jarrod Scandle said the dog had to be removed from a neighbor's yard at 7:36 p.m. Sunday.
Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Rachelle Cassidy, 23, of Kulpmont, was charged by Coal Township police with a misdemeanor count of retail theft following an incident at Wal-Mart SuperCenter on May 16.
Wal-Mart loss prevention workers reported to police that Cassidy left the store with various items totalling $352.36 and didn't pay for the merchandise.
Curfew violation
SHAMOKIN - Two Shamokin teens, ages 14 and 15, were cited by Shamokin city police Patrolman First Class Scott C. Weaver for violating Shamokin's curfew ordinance.
The two teens were found in the 100 block of West Commerce Street at 3:40 a.m. June 14. The ordinance states that anyone under the age of 18 must be off the streets by 11 p.m.
