ZERBE TOWNSHIP - A Trevorton man lost nearly $1,700 worth of items including power tools from his vehicle while it was sitting in a Zerbe Township parking lot along Route 890 earlier this month, according to state police at Stonington.

Police reported that Michael David Curran Jr., of Market Street, left his 1997 GMC Jimmy unattended between the hours of 4 p.m. March 6 and noon March 7.

An unknown actor smashed the window of the vehicle and removed $1,695 worth of items, including various cordless Craftsman power tools, police said.
