Laptop found
LOWER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington reported someone found an HP laptop computer lying on the ground at the intersection of Routes 147 and 225 at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Terroristic threats
MIFFLINBURG - Brian Edward Weaver, 27, of Watsontown, was charged by state police at Milton with terroristic threats and harassment relating to a disturbance late Sunday night in Mifflinburg.
Police reported Weaver threatened to kill Angela Hoey, 26, of Mifflinburg, at 11:30 p.m. A handgun belonging to Weaver was confiscated by police.
Weaver was arraigned on the charges and committed to Union County Prison in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
Simple assault
COAL TOWNSHIP - Timothy Bixler, 30, of 1766 W. Chestnut St., Coal Township, was charged by Deputy Chief Chris Williams with simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Jennifer Culp, on Feb. 24 at his residence.
Bixler was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
Multiple charges
MOUNT CARMEL - Brendon R. Connell, 26, of 120 N. Hickory St., Mount Carmel, has been charged by Patrolman Jason Drumheller with two counts of simple assault and one count each of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment involving a disturbance early Monday morning at his residence.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, Connell allegedly grabbed his live-in girlfriend, Kimberly Williams, by the throat and began choking her. He also is accused of placing his legs around Williams' throat and squeezing them and punching her in the head twice.
Upon responding to the scene for a domestic disturbance shortly after 3 a.m., police said Connell was yelling obscenities at them from his front porch. Police said Connell was warned numerous times by police to curtail his unruly behavior, but he continued to yell while appearing to be extremely intoxicated. Police had to use force to subdue the defendant, who continued to shout obscenities at police upon being taken into custody.
Police said Connell also urinated in a holding cell at Mount Carmel Police Station.
DUI charges
RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Joseph J. Hager, 39, of 253 Jefferson Lane, Sunbury, has been charged by Patrolman Chris Dailey with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of careless driving and endangering the welfare of children relating to a Nov. 25 incident on Route 54 near the Ralpho-Coal Township line.
Police reported Hager had a blood-alcohol content of .145 percent.
