Vehicles collide on Rt. 54

DANVILLE - Two vehicles sustained disabling damage in an accident at 11 a.m. Friday on Route 54 in Mayberry Township.

State police at Stonington said a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Tyler J. Wilson, 19, of Elysburg, pulled from a stop sign at High Road (Route 2109), attempting to turn left onto Route 54, and drove into the path of a 1997 Ford Aerostar, driven by George B. Bowersox, 42, of Milton, that was traveling west on Route 54.

Neither driver was injured. A passenger in Bowersox's vehicle, Paul E. Brooking, 45, of Milton, had a minor injury, police said.

All three people involved were wearing their seat belts, police said.

Wilson will be cited for a stop-sign violation, according to police.

Tire Ranch, Elysburg, and Kulpmont Fire Department and Ambulance responded.

Snow plow vandalized

HUMMELS WHARF - State police at Selinsgrove are investigating an incident in which the drive belts on a snow plow owned by Steven J. Cvejkus, 27, of Liverpool, were cut while it was parked off Nina Drive at Monroe Marketplace. The criminal mischief occurred between 7 a.m. Dec. 1 and 1:30 a.m. Dec. 8, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 374-8145.

Deer strikes car

SNYDERTOWN - A Danville man's car was damaged when a deer ran into the driver's side door at about 7:56 p.m. Friday along Market Street (Route 4005), near Mowery Lane.

State police at Stonington said David W. Keefer, 54, was driving south when the incident occurred. He was not injured, but his 2005 Dodge Neon suffered damage.
