Two-vehicle accident

KULPMONT - One minor injury was reported in a two-vehicle accident at about 5 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Chestnut Street in front of the Fuel On convenience store.

Kulpmont police reported Janet Watkins, of 305 N. Willow St., Mount Carmel, was operating a 1996 Hyundai Sonata east on Chestnut Street when a 2000 Ford Escort driven by Thomas W. Weikel, of 122 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel, struck Watkins' auto in the rear, causing minor damage to both vehicles.

Watkins suffered a minor neck injury and was treated at the scene by emergency personnel from AREA Services Ambulance.

Police are continuing their investigation of the accident.

Rape charges

HALIFAX - State police at Lykens have charged Brian Matthew Deiter, 38, of 14 W. Cross Road, Halifax, with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, endangering welfare of children, indecent exposure, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a child relating to incidents that occurred between 2005 and 2009 in Dauphin County.

Police reported Deiter is accused of raping and having indecent sexual contact with a female from Halifax who was between the ages of 11 and 14 when the crimes occurred.

Deiter was arraigned in Dauphin County Night Court and committed to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Rape

BEAVERTOWN - Albert Ash Holton Jr., 31, no address provided, has been charged by state police at Selinsgrove with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors for allegedly assaulting his stepdaughter between April 2005 and May 2006 in Beavertown when the victim was 12 and 13 years old.

Police said the assaults continued after Holton and the victim moved to Ohio in June 2006.

Holton is currently incarcerated in Ohio on similar charges.

Mirror broken

TREVORTON - State police at Stonington reported someone broke off the side view mirror on a vehicle owned by Renee Fancher, 43, of 801 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, while it was parked near her residence between 2 and 7 a.m. Sunday.

Missing teen found

ROCKEFELLER TOWNSHIP - Wynter Marie Snyder, 16, of 121 Pine Hill Road, Sunbury, who was reported missing Friday night after failing to return home from school, was found safe late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, according to state police at Stonington.
