Waives hearing

SHAMOKIN - Lisa J. Velazquez, 23, of 191 E. Dewart St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday charges of criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, unauthorized use of a vehicle and a turn signal violation involving a July 23 incident at Chestnut and Fourth streets in Shamokin.

The charges were filed by Trooper Tyson Havens of state police at Montoursville.

Disorderly conduct

SHAMOKIN - Justin Kern, 19, of 719 E. Independence St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman William Miner for disorderly conduct and underage drinking relating to a disturbance at 4:40 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of North Rock Street.

Police said Kern, who was intoxicated, was shouting and fighting in the street.

Bad check

SHAMOKIN - Edward Thomashefsky Jr., 53, of Fernglen, was cited by Patrolman William Miner for issuing a bad check in the amount of $1,593.34 to George Keiser Co. on Oct. 14.

1-vehicle crash SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - A Winfield woman escaped injury after losing control of her car on Route 61 just south of Holly Road Saturday, according to state police at Stonington. Dahnya N. Heim, 32, was heading north on Route 61 around 4:44 p.m.
