One-vehicle crash

MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - A driver suffered minor injuries following a rollover crash at 7 p.m. Sunday on State Route 2034, near the sewage treatment plant.

Christopher Guinther told police he was negotiating a curve in the road in his maroon Pontiac GTO when he traveled over dirt on the edge of the road, losing control of his vehicle. Guinther said he began to travel towards the oncoming lane, over-corrected his vehicle and lost control, striking an embankment. The car rolled onto its roof, coming to rest on the shoulder of the highway.

Guinther suffered minor injuries to his knees and elbows, and was treated at the scene of the crash by EMS personnel.

Police said the front tires on Guinther's vehicle were bald.

Truck hits deer

LOWER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington reported that a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 truck, driven by Vernon R. Nolt, 29, of Milton, was traveling on Route 147 just north of Hallowing Run Road when a deer jumped into the road, causing a collision. Nolt was not injured in the accident.

Theft

HERNDON- Ben Patrick Davy, 31, of 14 Meadowview Drive, Selinsgrove, has been charged with theft after allegedly stealing copper and wire from a garage on Pottsville Street sometime between 2 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11 p.m. Oct. 11.

Davy stole a Weed Whacker from an unlocked storage shed at the home of Paul Haven Witmer, 59, of 1025 Pottsville St., reported Trooper Thomas C. Leib, of state police at Stonington. Davy then entered a detached garage through an unlocked side door, stealing copper and wire, Leib said.

According to police, Leib loaded the stolen goods into the bed of his pickup truck and left the scene.

Disorderly conduct

SHAMOKIN - Jason L. Musser, 33, of 1247 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, was cited for disorderly conduct by Shamokin City Police Patrolman Nathan Rhodes for reportedly yelling and knocking on the door of a home at 49 E. Sunbury St. at 1:07 a.m. Tuesday, waking neighbors. A citation was filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III of Shamokin.
